Every step starts on time, on the Lock Screen, on the wrist and in the background.
Our mission
To be the one tool people rely on to create, run and share their routines.
We build the most dependable stacks of timers there are. We give people everything they need to make a routine their own, with images, video and audio, and we make sharing it with others effortless. We want to be the best at what we do, so that anyone with a routine worth sharing has a tool they can count on.
Images, video and audio on any step, so a routine looks and sounds like the person who made it.
By code, link or poster. Anyone can pick up a routine and run it in moments.
Our Story
Finding focus in the storm.
When everything feels out of control, time is the only thing you have left to master.
My name is John Andre Durcan. I am 50 years old, a father of three, and the lead developer behind Timer Stack.
The Chaos
I did not need another to-do list. I needed a way to protect my focus.
If you had met me eight years ago, you would not have found me writing Swift code or obsessing over haptic feedback patterns. I was a business owner for 15 years, navigating a career in marketing and technology. Then life demand-shifted my priorities.
A few years ago, my world was turned upside down. I found myself navigating high-conflict personal and legal proceedings that felt designed to drain my spirit and my resources. Between managing huge court bundles, self-representing in complex financial hearings, and trying to be a present, stable father for my children, my brain felt like it was constantly vibrating at 100Hz.
The stress was clinical. To survive, and to provide for my kids, I needed something more precise than a list of tasks. I needed a repeatable structure that could hold my attention when everything else felt unstable.
The Pivot
In my early 40s, I chose to start again.
At a time when many people are settling deeper into their careers, I picked up a laptop, opened Xcode, and began retraining as an iOS developer.
Timer Stack was born out of necessity. I needed a tool that did not just tell me when 25 minutes were up. I needed to stack focus sessions in a way that mirrored my reality: 90 minutes for legal review, 15 minutes of breathwork, two hours of coding, then switching off properly to be Dad.
I built this app to become my own foundation. Every line of code was written in the quiet hours between school runs and court deadlines.
Why It Matters
Timer Stack is independent tech, built by a human who uses it under real pressure.
There are no venture capitalists here, and no big corporate boardrooms. When you support Timer Stack, you are backing the person building it.
A fresh start
You are helping a developer in his 50s prove that it is never too late to learn, build, and pivot.
Stability for My Family
Every subscription helps create a more consistent, peaceful future for my three children.
Independent tech
You are supporting a focused product made by someone who depends on it in real life.
Why I Need Your Help
Built by someone who needs it to work.
I am not a large team and I am not pretending to be one. What that buys you is a product shaped by daily use rather than a roadmap meeting: if something is slow, fragile or annoying, it is annoying me too, and it gets fixed.
Joining the beta, or subscribing when it launches, is what funds the next version. The feedback matters more than the money at this stage, and both go into the same place.
Thank you for being part of my Chapter 2. Let us get focused.

Joining Early
Join while it is still being built.
Timer Stack is free during the beta on iPhone and Apple Watch, with Android in early beta alongside them, and everyone who joins keeps Premium for life afterwards. Founding creators get a year of Pro on top. What I need back is the honest version: what breaks, what is missing, and what you stopped using after a week.
